New Holland ARMRE 18069 – Armrest Module: EHR 4 lever implausibility error

The dual potentiometers inside the #4 remote valve control lever are sending conflicting, out-of-range, or unsynchronized voltage signals to the controller. Because the controller cannot determine the true physical position of the lever, it flags the signal as implausible and disables the #4 remote valve for safety.

   Attempt an armrest EHR calibration through the A-post or IntelliView display to see if the potentiometer simply drifted out of its learned range

   Perform a component swap test by swapping the electrical connector of the EHR 4 lever with an adjacent lever (such as EHR 3) to isolate the lever from the wiring harness

   Inspect the EHR 4 connector for pushed pins, corrosion, or wire chafing

   Verify the presence of the 5V reference signal and sensor ground coming from the armrest module

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent shorting the armrest module.

   Remove the retaining screws on the armrest control console to lift the cover and access the underside of the remote levers.

   Locate the #4 EHR lever block and disconnect its specific wiring harness connector.

   Remove the mounting screws or retaining clips securing the EHR 4 lever assembly to the armrest pod.

   Remove the faulty lever and drop the new EHR lever into place.

   Secure the lever, reconnect the wiring harness, and reassemble the armrest console.

   Reconnect the battery.

   Perform the armrest EHR calibration procedure via the tractor's display.

   The controller needs to learn the specific neutral, full-extend, and full-retract voltage values of the new potentiometer before it will operate the valve.
