New Holland ARMRE 18071 – Armrest Control Module (ACM): EHR 6 lever implausibility error (not applicable to CCM/APH _it may indicate incorrect configuration of the ACM)
Issue description
The control module is receiving an erratic, out-of-range, or conflicting voltage signal from the potentiometer of the 6th Electronic Hydraulic Remote (EHR) control lever. This is most commonly triggered by an incorrect software configuration where the software is programmed to look for a 6th remote valve lever that is not physically present.

Check the cause
Verify ACM Configuration (Most Common Cause): Connect the Electronic Service Tool (EST) and ensure the number of configured EHR levers matches the physical number of levers on the armrest. If the tractor only has 4 or 5 levers, the 6th lever must be disabled in the software.
If the tractor is physically equipped with a 6th EHR lever, perform a potentiometer resistance test. Disconnect the lever's connector and measure resistance across the pins while moving the lever from extend to float (should transition smoothly between 100 Ohms and 900 Ohms).
Check for a steady +5V reference voltage and a good ground at the lever connector with the key ON.
Inspect the wiring harness between the EHR lever and the ACM for open circuits, chafing, or shorts to ground.
Repair steps
Reconfigure the ACM
If the tractor does not have a 6th lever, use the EST to correct the ACM configuration. Save the changes and cycle the key. The code should clear.
Repair Wiring
If the tractor has a 6th lever and you found less than +5V or an open/shorted circuit during diagnostics, repair or replace the affected section of the armrest wiring harness.
Replace the EHR Lever
If the wiring is good but the lever's potentiometer failed the resistance sweep test, remove the armrest control panel and replace the EHR lever assembly.
Calibrate
After replacing the lever or changing the configuration, you must perform an EHR lever calibration via the tractor's IntelliView display or the EST tool so the ACM learns the new neutral, extend, and retract voltage limits.
