New Holland ARMRE 9012 – Armrest Controller (ARM / ARMRE): Controller Memory Error - Loss of Aux Remote Lever Calibrations
Issue description
The controller has lost the saved calibration data for the auxiliary remote hydraulic levers from its non-volatile memory. This can be caused by a temporary voltage drop, a poor ground connection, or a physical defect within the controller's internal memory chip preventing it from retaining data.

Check the cause
Check battery and charging voltage to ensure it is not dropping too low during engine cranking, which can cause memory loss.
Inspect connector C137 and verify the Armrest Controller has a clean, secure connection to the battery and is properly grounded.
Power cycle the tractor completely (shut down, wait 30 seconds, restart) to see if the code is intermittent or hard-set.
Repair steps
Access display monitor
Turn the key switch to the ON position and access the tractor's display monitor (e.g., IntelliView or Pro 700).
Navigate to Calibration Menu
Navigate to the Calibration Menu for the Armrest Controller.
Select AUX calibration
Select the AUX (Auxiliary Remote Levers) calibration procedure.
Stroke auxiliary remote levers
Follow the on-screen prompts to fully stroke the auxiliary remote levers through their full range of motion (extend, retract, float) so the controller can relearn the potentiometer voltage values.
Save and cycle key
Save the calibration and cycle the key switch (turn off, wait, turn back on).
Check for fault code
Check if fault code ARM 9012 returns.
Evaluate and replace controller if necessary
If the calibration is successful and the code stays away, the issue was a temporary memory glitch. If the fault code appears again immediately or after a short period of use, the Armrest Controller's memory is defective. The Armrest Controller must be replaced. (Note: A new controller will require a dealer to use the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to download the machine-specific software and perform a full calibration of all armrest functions).
