New Holland ARMRE 9013 – ARM (Armrest Controller / Armrest Module): Controller Memory Error - Loss of Throttle Calibrations

The controller has lost its saved calibration data for the throttle. This is typically caused by either an intermittent power supply/ground issue to the controller or a permanent internal memory defect within the controller itself.

   Verify that the Armrest Controller has a solid, uninterrupted connection to the battery. Specifically, inspect connector C137 for a good connection and ensure the module is properly grounded.

   Look for loose wiring harnesses or broken solder joints in the CAN bus terminators (a known issue on older TG series tractors) that might cause the controller to temporarily lose power and drop its memory.

   Secure Connections

   Make sure the controller has a good connection (C137) to the battery and is properly grounded.

   Recalibrate the Throttle

   Navigate to the instrumentation controller's armrest setup menu (ARM SET MENU). Select the throttle configuration option (ARM THROTTLE) and perform the throttle calibration procedure.

   Clear the Fault Code

   Once calibration is complete, clear the fault code from the system.

   Module Replacement (If Necessary)

   If the calibration will not save or the code immediately returns, the controller has a permanent memory defect. You must replace the Armrest Controller. Note: New armrest controllers often require a technician to hook up the Electronic Service Tool (EST) to capture the controller and download the machine-specific software into the new module before it will communicate properly.
