New Holland ARMRE 9014 – Armrest Controller: Controller Memory Error - Loss of MFD switch Configuration

The controller has lost the configuration data for the MFD (Mechanical Front Drive) switch, typically due to a memory defect within the controller itself or an intermittent power/ground issue causing the controller to drop its saved configuration memory.

   Verify power supply to the armrest controller, specifically checking connector C137 for corrosion, loose pins, or damage

   Verify the controller is properly grounded to the chassis

   Power cycle the tractor completely to see if the code is an active hard fault or a stored intermittent glitch

   Recalibrate the MFD

   Access the tractor's diagnostic/calibration menu and perform a calibration of the MFD menu in the armrest controller.

   Test for Code Return

   After calibration, operate the tractor and cycle the key. If the ARM 9014 fault code does not return, the memory loss was a temporary glitch and the issue is resolved.

   Replace the Controller

   If the same fault code appears again after a successful calibration, the armrest controller has an internal memory defect and must be replaced.

   Software Flash (Post-Replacement)

   If replacement is necessary, hook up the Electronic Service Tool (EST) to capture the old controller's software/configuration and download it into the new controller so it communicates properly with the tractor's CAN-BUS system.
