Issue description
This fault code indicates a low voltage condition on the VDD11 circuit, which is the 12-volt power supply line dedicated to the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) dosing valve. This is typically caused by a short circuit to ground in the wiring harness, an open circuit, a blown fuse/relay, or an internal electrical short within the DEF dosing valve itself.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness running from the DCU to the DEF dosing valve for chafed wires, melted insulation from exhaust heat, or pinched lines that could cause a short to ground.
Disconnect the DEF dosing valve and inspect the electrical connector pins for corrosion, moisture (DEF fluid intrusion), or pushed-out pins.
Check the actuator relays and fuses that provide the 12V supply to the dosing module (a short circuit will often blow the associated fuse).
With the key ON and the dosing valve disconnected, use a multimeter to verify if 12 volts are present at the supply pin of the harness connector.
Test the DEF dosing valve itself for an internal short to ground (an internally shorted valve will pull the VDD11 voltage down and trigger the code).
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the machine and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes during repair.
Wiring Repair
If the diagnostic checks revealed a short to ground or broken wire in the harness, repair the damaged section using weather-sealed connectors, or replace the affected harness segment.
Relay/Fuse Replacement
If the actuator relay or fuse was blown due to a short, replace it only after the underlying short has been repaired.
Dosing Valve Replacement
If internally failed: Disconnect the electrical connector and the DEF fluid lines from the dosing valve. Unbolt the dosing valve from the exhaust system/SCR catalyst. Clean the mounting port on the exhaust pipe to remove any crystallized DEF buildup. Install the new DEF dosing valve and tighten the mounting hardware to OEM specifications. Reconnect the DEF fluid lines and the electrical connector.
System Test
Reconnect the battery. Use a diagnostic tool (such as the CNH Electronic Service Tool or Jaltest) to clear the DCU fault codes.
Verification
Run a forced DEF dosing valve control test (UDVC) via the diagnostic tool to ensure the new valve is actuating properly and that the voltage remains within limits.
