DCU 19100

New Holland DCU 19100 – DCU (Dosing Control Unit): UREA level sensor (electrical) | supply voltage error | Reductant Level Sensor - Circuit Intermittent/Erratic

Issue description

The Dosing Control Unit (DCU) has detected a malfunction regarding the internal urea (DEF/AdBlue) level sensor. The error is triggered by an unreliable or unstable circuit, specifically a short circuit or an open circuit in the power supply wire inside the NOx neutralization unit or power module.

  • New Holland T8.xxx Series (e.g., 8.390, 8.410)

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the wiring harness and all connectors leading to the DCU and the DEF/Urea tank

  2. Check for a short circuit or a broken power supply wire within the NOx neutralization unit's lines

  3. Ensure that all connectors on the DCU are properly seated, pinned correctly, and free of corrosion or moisture

Repair steps

  1. Verify lines and connectors

    Verify that all lines are in working order and that the DCU connectors are securely attached.

  2. Clear fault codes

    Clear the fault codes using a diagnostic tool (such as the CNH Electronic Service Tool or an equivalent scanner).

  3. Cycle key and test

    Cycle the key and operate the machine to see if the code returns.

  4. Replace DCU block

    If the fault code does not clear or if it reoccurs immediately, the internal sensor/circuitry has failed. You must replace the DCU block.

  5. Program new DCU

    Installing a new DCU requires OEM software installation and calibration. CNH requires troubleshooting verification before issuing programming passwords.
