   Isolate the Component: Disconnect the DEF pump connector. If the diagnostic tool now shows an 'Open circuit' code (such as DCU 19183 / P20A0) instead of a short to battery, the wiring harness is likely intact, and the short circuit is internal to the reverting valve inside the DEF pump.

   Locate the DEF Supply Module (Doser Pump) on the machine and disconnect its main electrical connector.
