Issue description
This is a CAN (Controller Area Network) communication error. This triggers a generic P0600 Serial Communication Link fault.

Check the cause
Battery and Voltage Check: Verify the battery is fully charged and that the alternator is providing proper voltage to the modules.
CAN Bus Wiring Inspection: Inspect the CAN wiring harness between the Engine ECM and the DCU. Look for chafed wires, pinched cables, or corrosion at the connector pins.
Check for Accompanying Codes: Determine if the Engine ECM is logging its own internal faults regarding engine torque calculation (e.g., fueling or sensor issues).
Connector Pin Fitment: Disconnect the DCU and ECM connectors and check for pushed-back pins or water intrusion, which can corrupt the J1939 signal.

Disconnect Power
Turn off the machine and disconnect the negative battery terminal before servicing the electrical system.
Clean and Secure Connections
Disconnect the main harness connectors at the DCU and the Engine ECM. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner and apply dielectric grease. Reconnect and ensure the locking tabs are fully seated.
Repair the Harness (If Applicable)
If continuity testing reveals an open or short circuit in the CAN High or CAN Low wires between the ECM and DCU, repair the damaged section of the wiring harness or replace the affected harness segment.
Software Update / Module Replacement
If the wiring is perfectly intact and the ECM is functioning normally, the DCU itself may have an internal hardware failure or corrupted software preventing it from processing the EEC1 frame. The DCU will need to be reflashed by a dealer or replaced.
Clear Codes and Test
Reconnect the battery, use a diagnostic scan tool (such as CNH Electronic Service Tool) to clear the P0600 / 19595 codes, and run the engine under load to verify the torque signal is reading correctly and the code does not return.
