   Inspect the EHR control valve wire harness leading to the rear remote block for chafed wires, pinched lines, or melted insulation that could cause a short to ground.

   Disconnect the electrical plug at the No.6 rear remote valve and check for moisture, corrosion, or bent pins causing high resistance.

   Test the EHR flow control knob potentiometer and the remote valve switch in the cab to verify they are receiving a 5V reference signal and outputting a smooth, linear voltage.

   Ensure the mechanical spool inside the valve isn't binding, which can cause the position transducer to read out of range or fail.

   Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent short circuits during repair.
