New Holland EHR 4312 – EHR (Electro-Hydraulic Remote) Control Module: Rear Remote No.6 - Position Transducer Faulty

The electronic control system cannot accurately read the spool's position for the 6th rear remote valve. As a safety measure, the system will typically shut down the affected valve internally to prevent unintended hydraulic movement.

   Inspect the wiring harness and the electrical connector at Rear Remote Valve No. 6 for corrosion, moisture, backed-out pins, or wire chafing.

   If the valve has manual overrides, stroke the valve back and forth manually to clear any potential debris causing a mechanically stuck spool.

   Attempt to recalibrate the valve via the tractor's display monitor (Tractor Control Unit (TCU) EHR - Calibrate - Remote Valves). If calibration fails immediately, the internal transducer is hard-faulted.

   Depressurize

   Turn off the tractor, lower all implements, and relieve all hydraulic system pressure.

   Disconnect

   Disconnect the negative battery cable and unplug the electrical connector from Rear Remote Valve No. 6.

   Remove the Valve/Actuator

   Depending on the specific valve stack design, unbolt and remove either the electronic actuator head or the entire remote valve slice from the hydraulic stack.

   Install the Replacement

   Install the new EHR valve slice or electronic head and torque the mounting bolts to OEM specifications. Reconnect the electrical harness.

   Address Assignment

   Use the tractor's display or a diagnostic tool to reassign the correct CAN address to the new valve so the tractor recognizes it as 'Valve No. 6'.

   Calibration

   Once addressed, run the EHR valve calibration procedure via the tractor's monitor to teach the system the new transducer's neutral, extend, and retract limits.
