New Holland EHR 4322 – EHR: Rear Remote No.7 - Spool Deflection Excessive
Issue description
The internal spool of the 7th rear electronic remote valve has traveled beyond its expected or commanded position, indicating a valve internal fault, possibly mechanical.
Applies to these machines
2 machines- New Holland T8.xxx Series (T8.275, T8.300, T8.330, T8.360, T8.390, T8.410)
- New Holland T9 Series
Check the cause
Check for manual override usage (verify if code EHR 4324 is also logged, which can force excessive deflection)
Check system voltage to ensure the valve is receiving proper voltage (drops under 8V or spikes over 36V can cause the valve to shut off the output stage)
Inspect for binding caused by hydraulic oil contamination that could cause the internal spool to stick
Repair steps
Relieve hydraulic pressure
Relieve all hydraulic system pressure before servicing.
Clean work area
Clean the area around the rear remote valve stack to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.
Disconnect electrical harness
Disconnect the electrical harness connected to Rear Remote No. 7.
Unbolt tie rods
Unbolt the tie rods that hold the remote valve stack together.
Remove faulty valve
Remove the faulty valve slice (Remote No. 7).
Install replacement valve
Install the replacement EHR remote valve section, ensuring new O-rings are placed between the valve slices.
Re-torque tie rods
Re-torque the valve stack tie rods to OEM specifications.
Reconnect electrical harness
Reconnect the electrical harness.
Perform calibration
Perform a hydraulic remote valve calibration via the tractor's display monitor so the EHR controller can learn the new valve's limits.
