New Holland EHR 4334 – EHR (Electronic Hitch/Hydraulic Remote) module: Rear Remote No.8 -Over Voltage
Issue description
This code indicates that the voltage signal associated with the No. 8 electro-hydraulic rear remote valve circuit is exceeding the expected normal operating range. This is typically caused by a short to power, a faulty charging system, or an internal failure within the valve's proportional solenoid/potentiometer.

Check the cause
Verify that the tractor's alternator/charging system is not overcharging and that no external power supplies (like a 24V jump-start) are creating a system-wide over-voltage condition.
Inspect the EHR valve connector at the No. 8 remote, the extension harness connector, and the central controller (XCM) connector. Ensure they are tightly connected, undamaged, and that no pins are pushed out or corroded.
Test the wiring harness for a short to a 12V power source.
Measure the resistance across the CAN BUS circuit and check the terminating resistor to ensure network integrity.
Test the No. 8 remote valve's proportional solenoid and internal potentiometer for internal shorts.
Repair steps
Resolve Electrical Faults
Repair any damaged wiring or connectors found during the diagnostic phase. If the over-voltage is isolated to an internal short inside the No. 8 valve actuator, the valve section must be replaced.
Clear Codes
Once the physical repair is made, use the tractor's diagnostic menu (via the IntelliView display) to clear the active fault codes.
Address Assignment
If a new CAN-based EHR valve was installed, the correct address must be assigned to it through the tractor's configuration menu.
Valve Calibration
The new EHR valve must be calibrated prior to use. Connect the special calibration tool (OEM Tool #380001903) to the quick coupler on the remote bank. Initiate the calibration sequence via the tractor instrumentation. Note: If calibration fails the first time, stroke the valve back and forth manually to clear any trapped debris or air, then attempt the calibration again.
