New Holland EHR 4347 – EHR (Electro-Hydraulic Remote) Controller: EHR 6 Offline Err

Communication failure where the tractor's main control network has lost contact with the Electro-Hydraulic Remote (EHR) Valve #6. The module is no longer broadcasting or receiving messages on the CAN bus network, typically caused by a loss of power, a severed communication wire, or an internal failure of the valve's electronic control unit.

   Inspect the wiring harness leading to Rear Remote Valve #6 at the rear valve stack for chafed wires, pinched harnesses, or disconnected plugs.

   Disconnect the plug at Remote #6 and check for water ingress, bent pins, or corrosion.

   Verify that the valve is receiving proper supply voltage and has a solid ground connection.

   Temporarily swap the electrical connector from Remote #6 to an adjacent known-good remote (such as Remote #5). If the fault code changes to follow the new valve, the issue is in the wiring harness. If the code remains 'EHR 6 Offline Err', the electronic module on Valve #6 has failed.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Wiring Repair

   If the diagnostic checks revealed a broken wire or corroded connector, repair the damaged wiring in the EHR harness or replace the harness section.

   Valve Replacement

   If the valve's internal electronics have failed, relieve the hydraulic pressure, remove the mounting tie-bolts securing the #6 valve slice to the stack, and install a new EHR valve module.

   Reassembly

   Reconnect the electrical harness and hydraulic lines.

   Calibration

   Reconnect the battery and power on the tractor. Access the IntelliView display or use a dealer diagnostic tool to clear the fault codes. You must perform a 'Valve Spool Calibration' for the rear remote so the system can learn its neutral, extend, and retract positions.
