New Holland EHR 4351 – EHR (Electronic Hitch/Hydraulic Remote) Controller: Rear Remote No.7 - Valve Spool Not Calibrated

The electronic controller has not successfully learned the travel limits, neutral set point, or flow characteristics of the spool inside the 7th rear electro-hydraulic remote valve.

   Check for other active EHR error codes (such as under/over voltage, spool deflection errors, or communication faults) and resolve those first

   Stroke the valve back and forth manually using the cab controls to clear any debris or sticking in the spool

   Verify the correct CAN address is assigned to the remote valve in the tractor's display

   Ensure the tractor is running and the hydraulic oil is up to normal operating temperature, as cold, thick oil can cause calibration failures

   Ensure the engine is running and the hydraulic fluid is at operating temperature.

   Connect special diagnostic tool 380001903 to the valve block if required by the service manual.

   Model Specific: On certain articulated models like the T9 series.

   Access the tractor's instrumentation display (e.g., IntelliView monitor) and navigate to the remote valve calibration menu.

   Select Rear Remote No. 7 and initiate the automated calibration process.

   If the calibration fails the first time, stroke the valve back and forth for a while to free up the spool, then attempt to calibrate the valve again.

   If the valve repeatedly fails to calibrate (or throws secondary codes like 'spool deflection too short'), replace the internal position transducer or the EHR valve section itself.

   Note: Never connect an implement to a valve that has never been calibrated or will not calibrate.
