   Verify Operator Habits: Check if the battery disconnect switch was thrown immediately after turning off the key, or if the machine stalled out. The controller needs time to power down correctly after the key is turned off.

   Check Battery Voltage: Test the batteries to ensure they are holding a proper charge and are not dropping voltage significantly under load.

   Inspect Ground Connections (Crucial Step): A known cause for this code (and subsequent engine stalling/crank-no-start conditions) is a faulty ground. Check the main ground strap located between the engine block (often on the right side) and the frame. If the engine controller loses its ground, it will shut down the injectors and log this code.

   Check ECU Power Supply: Inspect the unswitched battery power supply wiring harness leading directly to the Engine Controller for chafing, corrosion, or loose connections.

   Clean Battery Terminals

   Disconnect the batteries and thoroughly clean the positive and negative terminals. Reconnect and tighten them securely.

   Clean/Replace Ground Strap

   Locate the engine-to-frame ground strap. Remove the mounting bolts, wire-brush the contact points on both the frame and the engine block down to bare metal, and reinstall. If the strap is frayed, green with corrosion, or brittle, replace it.

   Secure ECU Connectors

   Unplug the main harnesses at the Engine Controller, check for pushed-out pins or moisture, apply dielectric grease, and securely reconnect them.

   Clear the Fault Code

   Access the diagnostic menu on the cab's A-post keypad (hold the "Diag" button for 2-3 seconds, scroll to "ENG", and use the PROG key to clear the inactive code) to verify the fix.
