New Holland ENG 3025 – Engine Control Unit (ECU) / EDC: Atmospheric Pressure Sensor: Signal Below Range Minimum

The atmospheric pressure sensor (also known as a barometric pressure sensor) measures the ambient air pressure to allow the engine management system to adjust the fuel injection quantity based on altitude and air density. "Signal Below Range Minimum" indicates that the voltage signal from this sensor has dropped below the lowest acceptable threshold, pointing to an internal failure or short circuit.

   Connect the approved diagnostic equipment (New Holland EST) and clear the error code

   Run the machine under normal operating conditions and retest to see if the fault returns

   Check the main power and ground connections to the Engine ECU, as poor voltage supply can cause internal sensors to report low voltage

   Check for other active engine error codes (such as internal 5V sensor supply codes) that may indicate a broader internal ECU failure

   Verify fault status

   Verify that the fault is active and cannot be cleared.

   Inspect ECU connectors

   Inspect the main wiring harness connectors at the Engine ECU for water ingress, corrosion, or damaged pins that could cause voltage drops. Clean and secure the connections.

   Diagnose ECU failure

   Because the atmospheric pressure sensor is integrated into the engine controller, an isolated failure of this sensor means the engine controller itself has failed.

   Remove ECU

   Remove the Engine ECU from the machine.

   Replace or repair ECU

   Replace the Engine ECU with a new or remanufactured unit (alternatively, send the unit to a specialized module repair facility that can repair internal ECU circuit board faults).

   Program and calibrate ECU

   Program and calibrate the new ECU with the correct machine software using the dealer diagnostic tool.
