New Holland ENG 3062 – Engine Control Module (ECM) / EDC: Cylinder 1 - Application Dependent / Injector solenoid valve Cylinder 1 - SOURCE LOW / Cylinder 1 - Signal Low

Electrical fault indicating a short circuit in the injector 1 power stage. The system has detected a short circuit in the wiring (low side to battery or high side to ground) or an internal short within the Cylinder 1 fuel injector coil itself.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the Engine ECU and the Cylinder 1 injector for chafing, melted insulation, or pinched wires that could cause a short circuit.

   Disconnect the Cylinder 1 injector and test the internal coil resistance with a multimeter to determine if the injector itself has internally shorted.

   Verify the injection signals coming directly from the ECU to ensure the module is outputting the correct voltage and hasn't been damaged by the short circuit.

   Wiring Repair

   If the wiring harness is damaged or shorting out, repair the broken/shorted wires or replace the affected injector harness section.

   Injector Replacement

   If the wiring tests good but the Cylinder 1 injector coil is defective (shorted), remove and replace the Cylinder 1 fuel injector. Note: Installing a new common-rail injector usually requires entering the new injector's calibration code into the ECM using the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST).

   ECU Replacement (Worst-Case)

   If both the wiring and the injector are perfectly functional, but the fault persists and the ECU is not sending the correct signal, the Engine ECU may be internally damaged and require replacement.

   Clear Codes

   After the repair, use the diagnostic tool to clear the ENG 3062 code and run the engine to verify the fix.
