New Holland ENG 3123 – Engine Control Module (ECM / Engine ECU): PTO Twist Sensor - Not Calibrated

The system detects that the PTO twist sensor lacks a valid calibration value, or a previous calibration attempt resulted in a value that was too high or too low.

   Verify PTO Status: Ensure the PTO is completely turned OFF. If the PTO is engaged or started during a calibration attempt, the calibration will fail.

   Inspect Wiring and Connectors: Check the wiring harness leading to the PTO twist sensor. Look for open circuits or short circuits to ground.

   Physical Inspection: Ensure the sensor is securely mounted and not physically damaged. An improperly installed sensor will read out of range and fail calibration.

   Start tractor

   Start the tractor and ensure the PTO is disengaged.

   Access calibration menu

   Access the tractor's calibration menu (H-Menu) via the display panel.

   Navigate to 'Pt'

   Navigate through the menu until the display shows 'Pt', which stands for Power Take-Off twist calibration.

   Initiate calibration

   Press and hold the downshift button to initiate the calibration of the PTO twist sensor.

   Hold until complete

   Continue holding until the calibration completes. Once successful, the display will alternate between 'Pt' and the new calibration value.

   Release button

   Release the downshift button.

   Save calibration

   Cycle the key to save the calibration. If the calibration fails repeatedly (values too high/low), the sensor itself is likely defective and requires replacement.
