New Holland ENG 3152 – Engine Control Module (ECM): System/Amber Warning Lamp - No Load

The engine controller is detecting an open circuit ('No Load') on the circuit responsible for illuminating the System/Amber Warning Lamp. The controller monitors the current draw of this circuit; when it commands the lamp to turn on and detects zero or insufficient current, it logs this fault.

   Turn the ignition key to the ON position (engine off) and observe the instrument cluster and exterior warning lights to see if the Amber Warning Lamp illuminates briefly during the system self-test

   Locate the specific amber warning lamp triggering the fault and inspect the housing for physical damage or water intrusion

   Disconnect the lamp assembly and inspect the connector pins for corrosion, backed-out terminals, or moisture

   Use a multimeter to check the bulb for continuity

   If the bulb is good, test the wiring harness for continuity between the lamp connector and the Engine ECU to rule out a broken wire

   Disconnect Power

   Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts during repair.

   Access the Lamp

   Remove the retaining screws or bezel holding the affected amber warning lamp assembly or instrument panel cluster in place.

   Replace the Bulb/Assembly

   If the machine uses a replaceable incandescent bulb in the dash, pull the old bulb out of the socket and insert the new one. If the machine uses a sealed exterior LED warning lamp assembly, disconnect the wiring pigtail and swap in the new lamp assembly.

   Repair Wiring (If Applicable)

   If the bulb/lamp tested fine during diagnostics, locate the open circuit in the harness. Splice and heat-shrink any broken wires, or clean/replace heavily corroded connector terminals.

   Reassemble and Test

   Reconnect the lamp assembly and reinstall it into its housing. Reconnect the battery.

   Clear Codes

   Turn the key to the ON position. Verify that the amber warning lamp now illuminates during the bulb check. Connect a diagnostic tool (if necessary) to clear the inactive ENG 3152 code from the ECM memory.
