New Holland ENG 3213 – Engine Control Unit (ECU) / Electronic Diesel Control (EDC): Bank1 - Unclassifiable Error
Issue description
Electrical fault on the first bank of fuel injectors (Bank 1), typically caused by a short circuit of high-side to battery or ground on the injector wiring, or an internal failure within the control module itself.
Applies to these machines

Check the cause
Connect the CNH EASy diagnostic tool to verify the code and check for the underlying FPT engine code (DTC 171)
Thoroughly inspect the wiring harness leading to the Bank 1 fuel injectors for a short circuit on the high-side to the battery or a short to ground
Verify the injection signals at the harness connectors to rule out a wiring break or short
Repair steps
Repair or replace wiring
If a short circuit to the battery or ground is found during the diagnostic checks of the Bank 1 injector harness, repair the damaged wiring or replace the injector harness.
Replace ECU
If the wiring and injection signals test perfectly fine and no external short is found, the defect is an internal ECU problem. Replace the ECU.
