Indicates an unclassifiable electrical fault, such as a short circuit or open load, on the Bank 1 fuel injector circuit (which typically covers the injectors for cylinders 1, 2, and 3).

   Inspect the injector terminal nuts on Bank 1 (cylinders 1, 2, and 3) to ensure they are not loose.

   Check the injector terminal ends for shorts to the engine ground or short circuits between the terminal wires.

   Inspect the injector wiring harness for short circuits (low side to battery, low side to ground, or high side to low side) and open circuits.

   Inspect the engine interface connector and the ECU (ECM) connector for corrosion, moisture, or pushed-out pins.

   Test the resistance of the individual Bank 1 injectors to rule out an internal short in the injector solenoid.

   Disconnect battery

   Disconnect the machine's battery to prevent electrical damage.

   Locate wiring harness

   Locate the Bank 1 injector wiring harness (often located between the radiator and cylinder head or under the valve cover, depending on the specific FPT engine model).

   Disconnect harness

   Disconnect the harness from the ECM and the Bank 1 fuel injectors.

   Test and replace harness

   Perform a continuity and resistance check on the wiring harness. If the harness is shorted, chafed, or has damaged terminal nuts, replace the injector wiring harness.

   Test and replace injectors

   If the harness tests good, use a multimeter to test the individual injectors on Bank 1. If an injector solenoid is shorted internally, replace the affected fuel injector.

   Reconnect harness

   Reconnect the wiring harness to the injectors and the ECM.

   Reconnect battery

   Reconnect the battery.

   Clear fault codes

   Use the CNH EST (Electronic Service Tool) or EASy diagnostic tool to clear the fault codes.

   Test run machine

   Start the engine and test run the machine to verify that the loss of engine power/speed limitation is resolved and the code does not return.
