New Holland ENG 3232 – Engine Control Module (ECM) / Engine Control Unit (ECU): Injection Processor Error - Unlocked / Initialization Failure
Issue description
Critical internal hardware or software failure within the engine's computer. The internal processor responsible for controlling the fuel injection system has failed to initialize properly or has remained in an 'unlocked' state, preventing it from safely commanding the fuel injectors.

Check the cause
Verify battery voltage and ensure the ECM is receiving stable power and a solid ground to rule out voltage drops or clock loss.
Inspect the main wiring harnesses connecting to the ECM for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, or short circuits that could cause electronic disturbances.
Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EASY tool), clear the fault code, and cycle the ignition key to determine if it was a momentary glitch.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the battery disconnect switch or disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical spikes.
Remove the ECM
Locate the Bosch EDC7 ECM on the side of the engine block. Disconnect the multi-pin OEM connectors and unbolt the module from its mounting bracket.
Clone or Program
Have the data from your original ECM cloned to the replacement unit by an electronics specialist, or have a dealer program a blank ECM using the CNH EASY tool.
Install the New ECM
Bolt the programmed replacement ECM into place and securely reconnect the wiring harnesses.
Test
Reconnect the battery, turn the ignition on, and verify that the ENG 3232 code has cleared and the engine starts and runs normally.
