   Check warning lamp status to verify if the code is active or stored (this is a suppressed code and usually does not illuminate the check engine light)

   Check for accompanying codes (such as 3245 or 3739). If 3243 is the only code, it is likely a transient event

   Inspect power and ground connections, including battery terminals, chassis grounds, and wiring harness connectors going directly to the EDC for corrosion, loose pins, or chafing (momentary voltage drops frequently cause software resets)

   Clear the Code

   Clear the DTC using a Can-Bus Emulator, Electronic Service Tool (EST), or DTC eraser, as temporary internal communication/reset errors can often be ignored.

   Test Run the Machine

   Operate the machine under normal load to see if the code returns.

   Reprogram the EDC

   If the code persists and is accompanied by drivability issues or other internal ECM errors, the EDC software may be corrupted. A dealer technician will need to flash/reprogram the EDC with the latest software update.

   If reprogramming fails or the module has suffered a hard internal failure, the EDC must be replaced.

   Restore Self-Learning Parameters

   If the EDC is replaced, you must use the New Holland Electronic Service Tool (EST) to restore the self-learning parameters and rewrite the specific injector codes to the new module.
