The watchdog timer has detected an internal timing deviation, an internal reset, or a processor lockup. This indicates an internal hardware or software failure within the engine computer itself.

   Check for accompanying voltage codes (e.g., 3247 or 3248 for Supply Voltage Too High/Low, or 3252 for SPI Communication Failure). If present, diagnose the power supply first.

   Verify that the battery voltage is stable (12V or 24V depending on the machine) and that the alternator is not overcharging or producing excessive AC ripple.

   Inspect the main power and ground pins at the EDC/ECM connector for corrosion, water intrusion, or loose pins that could cause momentary power drops.

   Perform a Hard Reset

   Disconnect the machine's battery cables, touch the positive and negative cables together (away from the battery) to discharge residual capacitor voltage, and leave them disconnected for 15 minutes. Reconnect and check if the code clears.

   Software Flash/Update

   If the code remains active but the machine still runs, connect the New Holland Electronic Service Tool (EST). Check if there is a software update or patch available for the EDC. Reflashing the module can sometimes resolve software-induced watchdog errors.

   Module Replacement/Repair

   If the wiring is sound, the voltage is stable, and a reflash fails (or the module is completely unresponsive/bricked), the EDC/ECM has suffered a fatal internal hardware failure. The module must be removed and either sent to a specialized ECM repair facility or replaced with a new/remanufactured unit.

   If a new ECM is installed, it must be programmed with the machine's specific dataset/variant using the dealer EST tool.
