   Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the machine's diagnostic port

   Clear the error code using the diagnostic equipment

   Run the machine under normal operating conditions and retest to see if the fault returns

   Verify that there are no underlying CAN BUS communication issues (open or short circuits) that could be interrupting the controller's data stream

   Software Flash

   Using the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST), download and flash the correct level of software (the proper dataset/variant) to the Engine Controller.

   Retest

   Cycle the key and operate the machine to verify if the module accepted the dataset.

   Hardware Replacement

   If the fault re-occurs after attempting to download the correct software, the Engine Controller has suffered an internal hardware/memory failure. You must remove and replace the Engine Controller (ECU).

   Programming

   The newly installed ECU will need to be programmed with the correct dataset for your specific machine variant using the EST.
