   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the Engine ECU and the cylinder 1 injector for chafing, corrosion, or disconnected pins

   Use a multimeter to check the cylinder 1 injector circuit for a short circuit to ground or an open circuit

   Verify that the Engine ECU is sending the correct injection signals to the cylinder 1 connector

   Measure the internal resistance of the cylinder 1 injector solenoid to check for a defective coil

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the machine's battery to prevent electrical damage during service.

   Access the Injector

   Remove the engine valve cover or necessary shielding to access the cylinder 1 fuel injector.

   Address Wiring

   If the diagnostic tests revealed a short or open circuit in the wiring harness, repair the damaged wires or replace the affected harness section.

   Remove Faulty Injector

   If the wiring is intact and the injector coil is defective, disconnect the electrical connector, remove the high-pressure fuel line, and unbolt the injector hold-down clamp.

   Install New Injector

   Extract the old injector. Install the replacement injector, ensuring you use a new nozzle washer and injector seal O-ring.

   Reassembly

   Reinstall the hold-down clamp and high-pressure fuel lines, torquing them to OEM specifications. Reconnect the electrical connector.

   ECU Programming

   Reconnect the battery. Because this is a common-rail diesel system, use a CNH diagnostic scan tool to program/code the new injector's calibration code into the Engine ECU.

   Clear Codes

   Clear the ENG 3292 fault code from the ECU and run the engine to verify the repair.
