Issue description
A logic/software fault indicating that the engine controller has detected a mismatch or implausible calculation regarding the vehicle's dynamic operation. This typically happens when the expected torque, engine load, or speed parameters do not align with the actual inputs being received over the CAN bus network.

Check the cause
Check for associated codes related to the throttle pedal (e.g., codes 3364, 3365, 3366), wheel speed sensors, or transmission output speed
Verify CAN bus communication between the Engine ECM, Vehicle Control Module (VCM), and Transmission controller
Check the current software calibration on the Engine ECM using the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST)
Repair steps
Connect Diagnostic Tool
Hook up the CNH EST laptop to the machine's diagnostic port.
Clear and Retest
Document the freeze-frame data for ENG 3360, clear the code, and test drive the machine under load to see if the fault returns.
Address Hard Faults
If throttle pedal or torque map codes (like ENG 3362) are present alongside 3360, diagnose and repair the physical sensor circuits first.
Flash/Update the ECM
If ENG 3360 is the only code present and it returns after clearing, flash the Engine ECM with the latest OEM software calibration.
Module Replacement (Last Resort)
If the ECM refuses to take a software update or suffers from internal EEPROM errors (often accompanied by code 3361), the Engine ECM itself must be replaced and programmed.
