New Holland ENG 3365 – Engine Control Unit (ECU): Foot Pedal 2 - Signal Too Low

The voltage signal returning from the secondary circuit (Pedal 2) of the electronic foot pedal has dropped below the acceptable minimum threshold.

   Check the foot pedal area for debris, dirt, or physical obstructions that might be interfering with the pedal's travel or damaging the sensor.

   Inspect the electrical connector at the foot pedal sensor and the Engine ECU. Look for loose connections, backed-out pins, moisture, or corrosion.

   Using a multimeter, check the wiring harness between the pedal and the ECU. Test the Foot Pedal 2 signal wire for an open circuit or a short to ground, which would cause the 'Signal Too Low' condition.

   Verify that the sensor is receiving the correct 5V reference voltage and has a solid ground connection from the ECU.

   Power Down

   Turn off the machine and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the electrical wiring harness connector from the electronic foot pedal assembly.

   Remove

   Unbolt the mounting hardware securing the accelerator pedal assembly to the cab floor or firewall.

   Replace

   Install the new OEM foot pedal assembly or throttle position sensor (depending on whether your model services the sensor separately or as a whole pedal unit).

   Reassemble

   Secure the mounting bolts and reconnect the electrical harness.

   Clear Codes

   Reconnect the battery. Use a diagnostic scan tool or CAN-bus DTC eraser to clear the ENG 3365 fault code from the Engine ECU.

   Test

   Start the machine and test the throttle response to ensure the code does not return and that the pedal values are plausible.
