This fault code indicates that the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve is unable to reach or maintain its commanded position. The engine control system has detected that the negative limit for the governor deviation has been exceeded for a persistent amount of time.

   Electrical Inspection: Check the wiring harness and connector at the EGR valve for signs of corrosion, loose pins, or chafing. Verify battery voltage and power supply to the EGR valve actuator.

   Check for Accompanying Codes: Look for related electrical fault codes (such as open load or short circuit codes for the power stage) which would indicate a wiring issue rather than a mechanical valve failure.

   Mechanical Inspection: Remove the EGR valve and inspect it for excessive carbon buildup or soot that could be causing the valve to stick or bind.

   Active Testing: Use the New Holland Electronic Service Tool (EST) to perform an active test. Command the EGR valve to open and close while monitoring the position feedback sensor to see if it responds smoothly or hangs up.

   Turn off the machine, remove the key, and disconnect the battery

   This prevents electrical shorts and ensures safety.

   Locate the EGR valve assembly on the engine

   Typically mounted near the exhaust manifold and EGR cooler.

   Disconnect the electrical connector from the EGR valve actuator.

   Remove the mounting bolts securing the EGR valve to the manifold/cooler assembly.

   Carefully remove the EGR valve and discard the old gasket.

   Reconnect the electrical harness to the EGR valve.
