This code indicates a failure in the oxygen (Lambda) sensor's heating circuit. The Engine Control Unit (ECU) monitors the heat-up phase of the oxygen sensor. If the ECU detects insufficient heater performance from the oxygen sensor for too long (meaning it cannot hold the sensor temperature in the required monitoring range), it logs this fault.

   Verify if the fault code is currently active. If it is inactive/stored, inspect the sensor wiring for intermittent shorts or loose connections.

   Check the turbocharger and exhaust line for leaks or improper attachment, as an exhaust leak upstream of the Lambda sensor can skew O2 concentration readings and trigger false sensor faults.

   Inspect the Lambda sensor harness for physical damage, melted wires, or corrosion at the connector pins.

   Resolve Exhaust Leaks

   If the connector or harness is damaged, repair the wiring using an approved CNH pigtail or harness repair kit.

   Replace the Lambda Sensor

   If the exhaust system is sealed, the wiring is intact, and the code remains active, the internal heater element of the Lambda sensor has failed. You must replace the oxygen sensor.
