New Holland ENG 3759 – ENGINE: EDC - Level 2 Monitoring: Diagnosis of current path limitation forced by ECU monitoring.

This is a Level 2 software monitoring fault. The engine control module has detected an internal or external electrical anomaly (a "current path limitation") and has forced a system limitation or engine derate to protect the engine and electrical components.

   Verify the main power and ground supplies to the EDC. Ensure there are no frayed wires, loose pins, or short circuits in the main engine harness that could cause a current limitation.

   Cycle the machine's power to see if the Level 2 monitoring fault is active or stored.

   Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to check if there is a newer software calibration available for the engine controller.

   Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the machine's diagnostic port.

   Reload the Engine Dataset

   Flash/reload the current engine dataset onto the existing Engine Controller (EDC) to clear the software monitoring lock.

   Disconnect the tool, cycle the key, and operate the machine to see if the fault persists.

   Replace the EDC

   If the fault persists after the dataset has been reloaded, the internal circuitry of the Engine Controller has failed. You must physically replace the EDC.

   Restore Parameters

   If the EDC is replaced, use the EST to follow the appropriate service tool procedure to restore the engine's self-learning parameters and program the new module to the machine.
