   Verify if the fault is active and persists after a standard key-cycle and code-clearing procedure.

   Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the machine's diagnostic port.

   Check for any available software updates or service bulletins related to the engine dataset for your specific machine.

   Reload the Engine Dataset

   Using the CNH EST, re-flash/reload the engine dataset onto the existing Engine Controller.

   Re-test

   Run the machine to see if the Level 2 Monitoring fault persists.

   Replace the ECU

   If the fault persists after the software reload, the Engine Controller (EDC) has suffered an internal failure and must be replaced.

   Restore Parameters

   If the EDC is replaced, you must follow the appropriate service tool procedure via the CNH EST to restore the engine's Self-Learning Parameters to the new module.
