The Engine Control Unit (ECU) monitors the injection cycle and torque requests. This fault is triggered when the ECU detects an internal fault with the torque request, specifically because the calculated engine torque is greater than the acceptable engine torque. To protect the engine, the system forces a quantity path limitation (restricting fuel injection quantity).

   Verify Active Status: Confirm that the fault code is currently active and present, rather than a stored historical code.

   Check for Accompanying Codes: Look for other active codes related to the accelerator pedal, fuel injection control, or CAN-bus communication (e.g., 3750-3760 range), as a faulty sensor input could artificially inflate the calculated torque demand.

   Clear and Retest: Clear the DTCs using a diagnostic tool and operate the machine to see if the torque limitation fault returns.

   Reload the Engine Dataset

   Connect the New Holland Electronic Service Tool (EST). Reflash/reload the engine dataset onto the existing Engine Controller to rule out software corruption.

   Replace the EDC

   If the fault persists after the dataset has been reloaded, the internal failure mode is confirmed as a "Faulty ECU". You must physically replace the Engine Controller (EDC).

   Restore Parameters

   If the EDC is replaced, you must follow the appropriate service tool procedure via the EST to restore the engine's self-learning parameters and program the injector codes to the new module.
