The Engine Control Unit (ECU) has detected a voltage supply level that exceeds its maximum safe operating threshold, triggering an internal fault state ('ABE active') to protect itself.

   Test the charging system (alternator and voltage regulator output) to ensure it is not overcharging and spiking system voltage

   Inspect the main engine wiring harness for any 'short to power' conditions feeding unswitched or excessive voltage directly to the ECU pins

   Check the EDC Power Relay (Main Relay) and all ECU ground connections, as poor grounds can cause voltage irregularities

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the New Holland Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the machine's diagnostic port.

   Re-flash ECU

   Attempt to re-flash the Engine Control Unit (ECU) correctly with the proper, up-to-date software data set.

   Restore parameters

   If the flash is successful, use the service tool procedure to restore the engine's self-learning parameters.

   Clear codes and test

   Clear the fault codes and cycle the key to see if ENG 3769 returns.

   Replace ECU

   If the error persists, the overvoltage event has caused permanent internal hardware damage to the ECU. You must replace the Engine Controller.

   Program new ECU

   Install the new ECU and use the EST to program it to the machine and restore self-learning parameters.
