New Holland ENG 3795 – ENGINE (EDC): Intake Air Pressure Sensor: Plausibility Check for air pressure at the upstream of intake valve sensor.

This fault code indicates that the engine's control module has detected an illogical or "implausible" reading from the intake air pressure sensor (often referred to as a MAP or boost pressure sensor). A plausibility fault means the sensor's output voltage does not align with the expected pressure values based on current engine operating conditions (such as RPM and load), or it fails to match atmospheric pressure when the engine is off.

   Check the intake air system for physical leaks, cracked hoses, or loose clamps between the turbocharger and the intake manifold that could cause actual pressure loss.

   Using a multimeter, check the output voltage of the intake air pressure sensor. Compare the sensor's electronic reading to the actual physical pressure using a mechanical manometer to verify if the sensor is reading accurately.

   Inspect the sensor's electrical connector for corrosion, moisture, or backed-out pins. Test the wiring harness for continuity, ensuring there are no open circuits, shorts to ground, or shorts to the battery supply.

   Turn off the engine, remove the key, and disconnect the battery ground cable to prevent electrical shorts.

   Locate the intake air pressure sensor on the engine's intake manifold.

   Carefully depress the locking tab and disconnect the electrical harness from the sensor.

   Remove the mounting bolt(s) securing the sensor to the manifold.

   Pull the sensor straight out. Inspect the mounting port and clean away any soot or debris, ensuring nothing falls into the intake manifold.

   Lubricate the O-ring on the new intake air pressure sensor and press it firmly into the manifold port.

   Install and tighten the retaining bolt(s).

   Reconnect the electrical harness until it clicks into place.

   Reconnect the battery, turn the key on, and use a diagnostic scan tool to clear the ENG 3795 fault code.

    Start the engine and verify that the code does not return under load.
