   Connect the New Holland Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the machine's CAN network to retrieve and confirm the active fault code.

   Verify that the ECU is receiving proper voltage and that the battery and alternator are functioning correctly (voltage spikes can trigger internal CPU faults).

   Check the main electrical fuse box (e.g., mechanical controls fuse box 55.100.DO[01]) for blown fuses.

   Inspect the engine harness (55.015.AB) for shorts, corrosion, or damaged pins at the ECU connector.

   Use the EST or DTC Eraser tool to clear the code. If it clears and does not return, it may have been a temporary voltage glitch. If it returns, the ECU has suffered a hard internal failure.

   Disconnect battery

   Turn off the machine and disconnect the main battery to prevent electrical arcing.

   Locate ECU

   Locate the Engine Control Unit (ECU) in the engine bay.

   Disconnect harness

   Carefully disconnect the main engine harness from the ECU.

   Remove ECU

   Unbolt the mounting hardware and remove the faulty ECU.

   Install replacement ECU

   Install the replacement ECU and secure the mounting bolts.

   Reconnect harness

   Reconnect the engine harness, ensuring the connector is fully seated and locked.

   Reconnect battery

   Reconnect the battery.

   Program ECU

   Connect the New Holland Electronic Service Tool (EST) and flash/program the new ECU with the correct engine dataset for your specific machine model.
