New Holland INST 10038 – INST: Controller Memory Error - Loss of Valid Remote Timer information

The controller has lost the saved configuration data or memory parameters associated with the remote timer settings.

   Check the instrument cluster menus to confirm that the remote timer settings are actually missing, blank, or corrupted

   Inspect the tractor's battery health, battery cables, and the specific power/ground harness connections leading to the instrument cluster (A-post cover area) for sudden voltage loss

   Attempt to manually re-enter the remote timer settings and cycle the tractor's key power to see if the cluster successfully retains the new settings

   Reset and Reload

   Reset the remote timer and reload the configuration settings manually through the instrument cluster interface.

   Save Configuration

   Once the remote timer parameters are re-entered, save the settings and reboot the tractor's electrical system.

   Evaluate EEPROM Health

   If the INST 10038 code returns immediately, or if the cluster drops the settings again after a power cycle, the internal EEPROM (memory) of the instrument cluster is failing.

   Replace Cluster

   If the memory failure is permanent, the instrument cluster/dash panel must be physically replaced and reprogrammed to the tractor.
