This code indicates that the voltage signal returning from the steering angle sensor to the controller has dropped below the minimum acceptable threshold. This typically points to a short to ground in the signal wire, an open circuit (disconnected or broken wire), or a complete internal failure of the sensor itself.

   Inspect the steering angle sensor (located on the front axle steering cylinder or kingpin area) for physical damage.

   Disconnect the sensor and check the connector pins for corrosion, moisture, or pushed-out pins.

   Inspect the wiring harness routing along the front axle for chafing, cuts, or pinch points that could cause a short to ground or an open circuit.

   Turn the key ON and use a multimeter to verify that the sensor is receiving the correct reference voltage (typically 5V or 8V) and has a good ground.

   Secure the Machine

   Park the tractor on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and turn off the engine.

   Repair Wiring

   If the diagnostic checks revealed a broken wire or short to ground in the harness, repair the damaged section using appropriate weatherproof splices, or replace the affected harness section. Clear the code and retest.

   Replace the Sensor

   If the harness and reference voltage are intact, the sensor has failed internally. Disconnect the electrical connector from the steering angle sensor, unbolt and remove the faulty sensor, install the new OEM steering angle sensor, tighten the mounting hardware to the specified torque, and reconnect the electrical harness.

   Calibration

   After replacing the steering angle sensor, you must perform the steering angle sensor calibration procedure via the tractor's instrument cluster or a diagnostic service tool so the MFD controller can learn the new sensor's center, left-lock, and right-lock voltage values.
