New Holland NH 10003 – Front Suspension Controller: Lower Solenoid error

The front suspension piston side valve solenoid (specifically the lower solenoid) is experiencing an open circuit or is shorted to ground.

   Check the wiring harness between the front suspension controller and the lower solenoid valve for any physical damage, breaks, or chafing that could cause an open circuit or a short to ground.

   Inspect the electrical connectors at the solenoid and the controller for corrosion, pushed-out pins, or moisture.

   Test the lower solenoid coil with a multimeter to verify if the coil itself has failed internally (open or shorted).

   Repair Wiring

   If the diagnostic checks reveal damaged wiring or faulty connectors in the lower solenoid circuit, repair or replace the affected harness sections.

   Replace Solenoid/Valve

   If the wiring is intact and the solenoid coil tests faulty, replace the front suspension lower solenoid. Depending on the exact valve block revision on the machine, you may need to replace the individual solenoid cartridge or the entire front suspension control valve assembly.

   Recalibrate Suspension

   After replacing the solenoid or valve block, you must perform a front suspension calibration. (Note: Failure to calibrate will likely trigger related fault code NH 10024: "Front Suspension not calibrated").
