New Holland NH 1024 – Electronic Draft Control (EDC) module / Hydraulic Controller (Microprocessor): Perform Hydraulic Lift Autocalibration

Issue description

The system requires a calibration routine to be run to relearn the operational parameters of the hydraulic lift system. This code is most commonly triggered after a component replacement, system service, or a memory reset.

Check the cause

  1. Verify there are no other active fault codes related to the EDC system (specifically codes 1025, 1026, 1027, 1028, or 1029).

  2. Ensure the Height Limit potentiometer is not incorrectly set, which can trigger a 'Code HL' and prevent calibration.

  3. Park the tractor on level ground, away from any obstacles, firmly apply the parking brake, and block the wheels.

  4. Verify that the ground speed display reads exactly zero.

  5. Disconnect all implements from the rear remotes and the 3-point hitch to ensure no load is on the lift arms during calibration.
