Check the cause
Locate chassis harness connectors C019 and C020 and ensure they are fully seated and tight
Disconnect connectors C019 and C020 and inspect for damaged, corroded, or pushed-out pins
Visually trace the chassis harness to check for physical damage, chafing against the frame, or cuts in the outer covering
If the harness and connectors test okay for continuity and show no damage, verify if the Central Controller (XCM) has failed
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes.
Clean Contacts
If connectors C019 or C020 are dirty or corroded, clean the terminals using an approved electrical contact cleaner (OEM manuals suggest a Freon T.F. base cleaner).
Repair Wiring
If a break in the chassis harness is found, strip the affected wires. Twist the bare leads together, solder them, and wrap each repaired lead tightly with vinyl electrical tape. Apply a cable cover over the repaired section, ensuring at least 50 mm (2 inches) of tape overlaps at each end of the cut-away area.
Replace Controller
If the wiring is intact but the code persists, remove the mounting screws for the XCM controller, disconnect the harness, and install a replacement XCM unit.
Clear and Test
Reconnect the battery, clear the error code from the dashboard/display, and test the hydraulic lift and transmission systems for normal operation.
