New Holland NH 14905 – CAN Network / ADIC (Advanced Data Instrument Cluster): KEYPAD missing / INSTRUMENT CLUSTER KEY PAD NOT CONNECTED

The system has lost communication with the instrument cluster keypad module, either due to a physical disconnection, a wiring issue, or a failure within the keypad itself.

   Clear the error code with approved diagnostic equipment, run the tractor, and retest to see if the code returns

   Verify the fuses powering the ADIC Keypad (often labeled as Fuse 20 / 10 Amp or Fuse 3 / 5 Amp depending on the model)

   Inspect connectors at the instrument cluster keypad for loose, faulty, or corroded connections

   Check the wiring harness linking the keypad to the instrument cluster for chafing, breaks, or shorts

   Check for other CAN BUS interference that might be disrupting communication to the module

   Power down the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Locate the ADIC Keypad fuse in the cab fuse panel and test it for continuity. Replace if blown.

   Access the instrument cluster/keypad assembly on the right-hand console or dashboard (depending on the specific tractor model).

   Disconnect the wiring harness from the keypad. Inspect the pins for moisture, corrosion, or damage. Clean with contact cleaner if necessary.

   Perform a continuity test on the harness between the keypad connector and the main instrument cluster/CAN bus hub. Repair any broken wires.

   If the wiring, connectors, and fuses are all in good working order, the failure mode is a faulty instrument cluster keypad.

   Remove the faulty keypad module and install the replacement part.

   Reconnect the battery, turn the ignition on, and use a diagnostic tool to clear the NH 14905 fault code. Test the keypad for normal operation.
