The controller is detecting an electrical anomaly (such as an out-of-range voltage, short, or open circuit) on the input pins designated for Switch 4 or Switch 5. Because these switch circuits are not utilized on the standard machine configuration, this usually points to a ghost fault caused by a wiring harness short, moisture intrusion, or an incorrect software configuration.

   Verify Machine Configuration: Use the New Holland Electronic Service Tool (EST) to check the ECU configuration and ensure it is not programmed to look for optional equipment utilizing Switch 4 or 5.

   Harness Inspection: Inspect the main chassis harness and ECU connectors for moisture intrusion, corrosion, or chafed wires that could bridge voltage or ground to the unused switch pins.

   Check for Accompanying Codes: Look for broader electrical codes (e.g., NH 2021 Chassis Harness Error or 5-volt reference faults) that might indicate a shared ground or supply issue.

   Connect Diagnostic Tool

   Hook up the New Holland EST (Electronic Service Tool) to the machine's diagnostic port.

   Read and Document

   Verify if NH 2014 is an 'Active' or 'Stored/Inactive' code. If it is stored, it may have been a temporary glitch.
