   Inspect the entire length of the chassis harness for physical damage, chafing against the frame, melted insulation, or rodent damage.

   Verify that all main harness connectors (especially those bridging the chassis to the cab and the ECU) are fully seated, locked, and free of moisture or corrosion.

   Use a multimeter to test for open circuits or shorts to ground within the chassis harness lines.

   Verify that the chassis modules are receiving proper 12V supply and that ground connections are clean and tight.

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the machine's battery before working on the main electrical system to prevent short circuits.

   Repair Localized Damage

   If the diagnostic checks reveal a specific broken wire or corroded pin, repair the wire using OEM-approved splicing methods or replace the damaged connector terminal.

   Replace the Harness

   If the harness is severely damaged, burnt, or suffering from multiple internal shorts, carefully route and install a replacement chassis harness. Ensure it is secured with zip ties or P-clamps away from high-heat areas (like the exhaust) and pinch points.

   Reconnect the battery and use a New Holland diagnostic tool (or a compatible CAN-bus DTC eraser) to clear the NH 2021 fault code from the system.
