New Holland NH 2035 – Transmission Control Module (TCU): Dump solenoid circuit fault
Issue description
Indicates that the dump solenoid circuit is experiencing a short to 12V, a short to ground, or an open circuit. The dump solenoid is a critical hydraulic transmission component responsible for dumping hydraulic pressure from the clutches.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the Transmission ECM and the transmission side harness (often connected at the firewall)
Inspect the connector directly at the dump solenoid (located on the side of the transmission by the Power Shuttle Control Valve) for disconnected, pinched, loose, or corroded pins
Use a multimeter to test the dump solenoid circuit for an open circuit, short to ground, or short to 12V to verify proper voltage supply and ground
Check if the dump solenoid cartridge valve is physically stuck in the valve block (if electrical circuit and solenoid coil test okay)
Repair steps
Park the tractor on a level surface, apply the parking brake, and turn off the engine.
Locate the dump solenoid on the transmission control valve block.
Typically on the left side of the transmission.
Disconnect the electrical harness from the dump solenoid.
Repair or replace the affected harness section.
Perform this if the wiring is faulty.
Remove the retaining nut and slide the solenoid coil off the cartridge valve to replace it.
Perform this if the solenoid is faulty.
Extract the cartridge valve from the transmission block and install a new cartridge valve with fresh O-rings.
Perform this if the cartridge valve itself is stuck or not operating correctly.
Install the new dump solenoid and reconnect the electrical harness.
Clear the EEPROM/fault codes from the transmission controller.
Perform a transmission clutch calibration procedure.
Ensures the new solenoid operates smoothly and the clutches engage properly.
