New Holland NH 2057 – Transmission Controller (TCU) / XCM (Multi-function Control Module): High Range switch open / Shuttle lever reverse switch voltage high

The controller is detecting an open circuit, a disconnected plug, a broken wire, or an abnormally high voltage on the signal circuit for the high range or shuttle lever switch.

   Cycle the shuttle lever or range selector back and forth several times to see if it frees up physically stuck internal contacts.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connector at the shuttle lever/high range switch for loose pins, corrosion, or broken wires.

   Use the tractor's onboard H9 diagnostic menu (if equipped) to check the operation of the switch inputs and potentiometers to see if the controller registers any state change.

   Unplug the switch and use a multimeter to test for continuity across the switch terminals when engaged. If the circuit remains open, the switch has failed internally.

   Verify that the 5V reference voltage and ground supply are reaching the switch connector from the XCM.

   Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.

   Remove the steering column covers or the side console trim (depending on your specific model's layout) to access the base of the shuttle lever or range switch assembly.

   Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the faulty switch.

   Remove the mounting screws or retaining clips holding the switch or lever assembly in place and remove the faulty unit.

   Install the new shuttle lever or high range switch and secure it with the original hardware.

   Reconnect the electrical harness, ensuring the connector clicks firmly into place.

   Reassemble the steering column covers or console trim.

   Reconnect the battery and turn the key to the ON position.

   Clear the inactive fault codes from the dashboard/monitor.

    Test drive the tractor to ensure forward/reverse and high range engage properly.

    Note: Depending on the model, replacing transmission shuttle components may require you to run a transmission calibration procedure via the dashboard before normal operation can resume.
