New Holland NH 2124 – Transmission Controller (Transmission ECU / CCM): Flywheel Torque Sensor not calibrated or fitted in error
Issue description
The electronic control unit has detected that the flywheel torque sensor has either lost its calibration values, the calibration procedure was not completed successfully, or the sensor is installed on a transmission configuration that does not support it.
Applies to these machines
4 machines- T6000 Series (T6010, T6020, T6030, T6040, T6050, T6060, T6070)
- T7000 Series (T7030, T7040, T7050, T7060 without Sidewinder)
- TS-A Series (TS125A, TS135A)
- TM Series (TM 175, TM 190)
Check the cause
Check for associated 'U' codes (U80, U81, U83, U84) that indicate why the calibration failed or cannot be performed
Verify transmission oil is warmed up to the stipulated temperature (check via the 'H9' menu on the instrument cluster)
Verify the operator has set the correct engine speed required for the calibration procedure
Repair steps
Preparation
Park the tractor away from obstacles, apply the parking brake, chock the wheels, and ensure the ground speed display is at zero.
Warm-Up
Warm up the transmission oil to the required operating temperature.
Enter Calibration Mode
Access the 'HH' menu (or H-menu) on the tractor's display to enter the transmission calibration mode.
Run Calibration
Follow the on-screen prompts to calibrate the transmission components. This typically requires setting a specific engine speed, moving the shuttle lever, and pressing the designated buttons to calibrate the clutches, synchronizers, and the flywheel torque sensor.
Clear Codes
Once the calibration is completed successfully without U-code interruptions, the NH 2124 code should clear. If the calibration repeatedly fails (e.g., throwing a U80 or U81 code), the sensor or its wiring harness (Electrical schematic frame 04) must be inspected and potentially replaced.
Parts you might need
(1)Flywheel Torque Sensor
Ensure the sensor is applicable to your specific transmission (16x16). If installed on a 24x24 transmission, the system will flag it as 'fitted in error'.
