New Holland NH 3060 – Engine Controller / Engine Control Module (ECM): Injector solenoid valve Cylinder 1 - NOT PLAUSIBLE

This code indicates an "unclassifiable error" or electrical fault in the solenoid of the fuel injector for cylinder 1. The Engine Control Module (ECM) has detected that the electrical signal from the cylinder 1 injector is outside the expected parameters. This condition typically causes the engine to misfire, produce excessive smoke, and run roughly.

   Inspect the cylinder 1 injector cable for a short circuit (Low Side to Battery or High Side to Ground) or an open circuit.

   Check the electrical connector at the cylinder 1 injector and at the Engine ECU for corrosion, pushed-out pins, or moisture.

   Use a multimeter to test the electrical resistance of the cylinder 1 injector solenoid to determine if the internal electrical part has failed.

   Power Down

   Turn off the engine, remove the key, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Locate Cylinder 1

   Identify cylinder 1 (typically the cylinder closest to the cooling fan at the front of the engine).

   Carefully unplug the electrical connector from the cylinder 1 fuel injector.
