New Holland NH 3062 – Engine Control Unit (Engine ECU): Injector solenoid valve Cylinder 1 - SOURCE LOW

The control module is detecting an abnormally low signal or a short circuit on the electrical circuit responsible for firing the fuel injector on cylinder number 1.

   Inspect the Wiring: Check the wiring harness between the Engine ECU and the Cylinder 1 injector for short circuits (especially low side to battery/ground) or external source interference.

   Check Injection Signals: Use a diagnostic tool or oscilloscope to verify the injection signals coming from the ECU to the cylinder 1 injector.

   Test the Injector Coil: Check the Cylinder 1 injector for a defective coil, which can drag the circuit voltage down and mimic a wiring short.

   Harness Testing

   Disconnect the wiring harness at the Engine ECU and the Cylinder 1 injector. Test the harness for continuity and short circuits. If a short circuit in the wiring with an external source is found, repair or replace the wiring harness.

   Injector Testing

   If the wiring is intact, test the injector itself. If the injector coil is defective or shorted internally, replace the Cylinder 1 fuel injector.

   ECU Replacement

   If the wiring and the injection signals have been checked and no external shorts or injector faults are found, the defect is likely internal to the Engine ECU (a failed power stage for cylinder 1). Replace ECU.

   Programming

   If the ECU is replaced, the new unit must be programmed or cloned with the original dataset to communicate with the machine's immobilizer and CAN-bus system.
